Readers, Contributors, and Friends:

There are a lot of questions about what is happening with the Cold Mountain Review website, formerly located at coldmountainreview.org and hosted on a private server by the web developers who built the site. If you visit the site at this time you will find a screen stating that the site is down. This has caused concern and CMR wants to address this publically.

In the morning hours of Thursday March 9th CMR received word from our administrations that the website content needed to be ported immediately to an Appalachian State University server, and our private site needed to be removed from public visibility. Subsequently CMR was informed that there is a pending audit.

At the time of this news, and currently at time of this post, CMR staff is attending the AWP Conference in Seattle, WA. There has been communication between CMR and administration, which will naturally be ongoing. Please check back here for updates as they are available.

The support CMR has received is deeply appreciated. At this time please share any thoughts or questions directly with CMR at our [email protected] email.

In the meantime please visit CMR at https://english.appstate.edu/cold-mountain-review

There is a new game in town! Check out the Upper New Review, a launching environmental literary arts mag. We're excited to see what they share.

The Upper New Review is a literary arts journal and website highlighting critical exploration and conversation in communities of the Upper New River watershed.

Don't miss your chance, writers! We're looking for your best fiction, creative nonfiction, essay, poetry, hybrid and genre bending work that explores, expresses, or comments on "renewal" within a social- or eco-justice theme. We recognize how broadly this can be interpreted and we're excited to see what your take is! https://coldmountainreview.submittable.com/submit
