25 years ago today, September 11, 2001, is a day forever etched into our hearts and history.
Everyone remembers where they were when the world changed. I (Kevin) had worked late the night before and was still asleep when my phone rang. It was a friend and my closing supervisor, telling me to turn on the TV immediately. I turned it on just in time to see the second plane hit the tower. That moment of shock, uncertainty, and sorrow is something I will never forget.
Today, we pause to honor the innocent lives lost, the brave first responders who ran toward danger without hesitation, and all the families whose lives were changed forever.
