The chase - these cow elk decided they didn’t want the Mollie pack near their herd. I watched in awe as they slowly approached the wolf rendezvous. Raising their heads high in a show of strength, they made their way closer and closer until the wolves gave chase. This behavior continued back and forth. Wolves chasing elk. Elk chasing wolves. Nature is amazing.

Yesterday this bull elk posed perfectly in a backlit landscape as a June rainstorm passed through Jackson Hole Valley. The Nikon 600mm f4 captured some beautiful rain bokeh and diffused the light to create this beautiful scene. This scene and light lasted about 2 minutes. Always have your camera ready!

I stumbled across this fox hunting in the sagebrush while looking for owls in Grand Teton National Park. This fox had such a beautiful light coloration that stood out against the sagebrush.
