Nasa crashed a "dart" into an asteroid to see if they could alter it's trajectory with hope that we may be able to slightly nudge dangerous flying asteroids to prevent collision with earth.

This photo was the closest taken photo of the surface of the longest range precision drone strike humans have ever made.

Today the Taliban has surrounded Kabul, Afghanistan as countries rush to evacuate their embassies and their citizens, Germany, USA, etc. The Taliban is expected to seize power of the city and with it the country through 'peaceful' means. They have seized massive amounts of ammunition, guns, equipment from multiple sites across the country. The plan is to install a transition government which everyone can agree on. The Taliban will take the country if not by surrender, by force.

The Taliban are making their move to capture the capitol of Afghanistan. Unfortunately, when they came out of their hole they did not see their shadow. The USA was the only thing keeping the Taliban at bay. The UN has failed to act, surrounding countries have failed to act, and the Taliban will ultimately grow in strength until they control all of Afghanistan.
