The Boston Marathon always draws a star-studded field of competitors – this year has famous running pros and celebrities alike. But as we head into the weekend and prepare for Marathon Monday, we’re looking back on two legends in particular to inspire some motivation: Bill Rodgers and Bob Hall. If you need a refresher, Bob Hall was the first athlete to complete the race in a wheelchair, and Bill Rodgers is a four-time Boston Marathon champion who dominated in the late ‘70s and ‘80s. In a clip shared by , Bill gives Bob a tap on the shoulder as they cross paths mid-race, and it's a small but powerful gesture of two athletes acknowledging each other’s success. Sadly, Bob Hall passed away last Sunday, April 12, but his legacy will live on in all the competitors who make their way down Boylston Street on Monday.
