#在博物館的一天 #哈佛博物館
今天在哈佛博物館受訓，我學到一句讓我整天都反覆思考的話：
「不要教。」
乍聽之下很反常，但其實這正是激發好奇心最有效的方式。
成為導覽員、解說員，並不是要證明自己知道多少；
面對一件展品，也不需要一次把所有資訊都倒給觀眾。
我們真正的角色，是讓好奇心有空間可以長出來。
陪著觀眾一起看、一起想、一起發現——
用問題引導、用眼神交流、用停頓創造思考的餘地。
那一刻，不是我們在教他們，而是他們自己在發現。
今天在練習互動的時候，我特別喜歡看到這些小小的細節：
• 彎下腰到孩子的視角，看著同一件物品
• 換用更貼近他們語言的詞彙
• 讓展品自己說話，而不是讓知識佔滿所有空間
• 透過好奇心，而不是答案，來推動對話
這些瞬間再次提醒我：
博物館不是「教」的地方，而是「一起探索」的地方。
而我們，就是陪著大家一起探索的人。
身為青少年的家長，不也是這樣嗎？
If I could keep only one lesson from today’s training at the Harvard Museum, it would be this:
“Don’t teach.”
It sounds counterintuitive — especially in a place built for learning — but it’s one of the most powerful principles in museum education.
Being a guide or docent isn’t about proving how much you know.
It isn’t about delivering a mini-lecture or listing facts about an artifact.
Our role is to create the conditions for curiosity.
By being present, asking good questions, and noticing what sparks someone’s interest, we invite visitors — kids and adults alike — to discover meaning for themselves. That’s when learning becomes memorable.
Aren’t we so as parents of teens?
