47 years. That is how long it has been since Theresa Corley was found on December 8, 1978, tossed off the side of Route 495 in Bellingham. For 47 years, her family has been searching for answers.

For 47 years, people who know something, or heard something, have chosen not to speak. For 47 years, what happened to Theresa hasn’t important enough for those who know to bring the truth forward.

If you have any information about the night Theresa was in Franklin or when she was last seen in Bellingham, please come forward.

On December 3, 1999, a fire broke out at an abandoned warehouse at 266 Franklin Street in Worcester, Massachusetts - a massive, six story windowless concrete box of a structure. Its maze-like design proved to be deadly. No one event impacted the city of Worcester more in the last 26 years than the Worcester Cold Storage Warehouse Fire that claimed the lives of six firefighters.
The Worcester Six: Paul Brotherton, Jeremiah Lucey, Thomas Spencer, Timothy Jackson, James Lyons, and Joseph McGuirk.

On Tuesday, December 1, 1987, Andrew Gustafson had been trying to reach his wife Priscilla all afternoon. Priscilla "Cilla" was 33, and a preschool teacher at Townsend Cooperative Playschool. His law practice was nearby. That day he had just closed a big real estate deal as an associate had given him a stake in ownership of a hotel in the town of Gardner in exchange for legal services. Andrew was excited and wanted to celebrate.

He tried to get her on the phone, hoping they could have the babysitter come over and look after their daughter, Abigail, or Abby, who was turning 8 in a week, and William - Billy - who had just turned 5. But Andrew Gustafson's calls were going unanswered. He drove the mile or so home, getting there around 5:20pm, and saw Priscilla's car in the driveway. The sun had already set, and he found the house was dark. Priscilla was early in her pregnancy and the family was excited to welcome the new baby. Andrew went inside, finding the house eerily quiet. Where were the kids?

No one could be prepared for what came next. He walked up the stairs to their bedroom. There he found Priscilla in their bed, completely still, her head covered with a pillow. The part of her he could see was ashen and lifeless. Fear washed over him. Terrified to look for the children for fear of what he might find, he sat in the kitchen and waited for the police to arrive.

Billy was in the upstairs bathroom, he'd been drowned in the tub. Abby was in the first floor bathroom and met the same fate.
She was one week away from her 8th birthday, and had a sleepover planned that weekend.

Andrew Gustafson had lost his entire family in the span of a few hours on a Tuesday afternoon. Everything became a struggle from that day on.

He would soon find out that the monster responsible for taking his entire family from him lived a mile away and was known to Townsend Police.

🔊What Happened To Amy Sher? 📍Billerica, Massachusetts | In part two of Amy Sher's story, I share how the abuse she suffered went on for years as everyone around her tried desperately to reach her.

Inspired by the award-winning film, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri--about a mother's grief and a town's apathy--Amy's family made a public plea for answers, unveiling billboards in the area she was last seen that asked one question: “What Happened To Amy?”

Learn the real life story that inspired "Three Billboards," and a father's mission to hold the man he believes killed his daughter to account.

This episode deals with violence against women and domestic abuse. Please listen with care.
https://www.crimeofthetruestkind.com/amy-sher-2

Amy's case highlights the devastating impact of isolation, coercive control, gaslighting, inaction on the part of authorities, and the resilience of families who continue to fight for answers, even when justice feels out of reach. With hope, they ask for anyone who may remember something from those days in the fall of 2002 when Amy was last seen, and what neighbors saw and heard.

We explore how Amy’s disappearance became both a true crime mystery and a community call to action, connecting her story to cultural touchstones like award-winning films, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and the 1944 classic, Gaslight.
