Voices Across the Divide the Film

Voices Across the Divide the Film The Israeli/Palestinian conflict is one of the most prominent, hot button debates in the US today.

The documentary film Voices Across the Divide is a powerful documentary and oral history project exploring the Israeli/Palestinian conflict through rarely heard personal stories. There is often little space for compassionate listening or deepening awareness, and access to information about the conflict is shaped by powerful forces and organizations. We hope Voices Across the Divide will contribute

to an open dialogue grounded in mutual respect, understanding, and political activism that leads to justice for all people in the region.

Fascinating article in the NYT Sunday magazine about the queen of Israel’s culture wars and the defense of Mizrachi culture and society which has been sidelined and belittled since the founding of the State and definitely needs to be honored and empowered as part of a complicated civil rights struggle within Israel.
