"There was something especially powerful about seeing Herbie Hancock at Boulder’s Chautauqua Auditorium on August 12, 2026, a night already carrying an extra sense of significance, coinciding with the Leo total solar eclipse. Herbie Hancock and his band played at Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder, Colorado, both August 11 and 12. Inside the newly remodeled (and always revered), historic venue, Herbie Hancock and his band created an atmosphere that felt both intimate and monumental: a gathering of world class musicians at the absolute height of their powers, and an audience (some of whom are local musicians themselves) completely present for every note."

"Up we climbed on the Argo tram from the street level of Idaho Springs to the top of Miners Point. It felt like a uniquely Colorado experience to ride a gondola to a bluegrass festival. In the distance we could see the ballfields where the festival was held in previous years. Higher and higher we climbed, the whole time bikers ripped down the winding dirt trails through Virginia Canyon below. It was a wild scene and we hadn't even reached the top. Following the near ten minute ride, we stepped off onto the platform up top. The views were stunning in every direction and this was the most activity that we had seen to date on top of the mountain. The place was buzzing with high community vibes..."
