The Record Co.

The Record Co. We’re a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to making affordable space for Boston’s music makers. Cities are an increasingly difficult place to create.

At The Record Co., we’re dedicated to bringing equity and sustainability to Boston’s music community through affordable space to record, rehearse, and gather. EVERYONE deserves to learn, grow, and progress in a supportive community. OUR VISION
A city where everyone can make and enjoy music; where it's as easy to get together and create as it is to meet and play games in a park or connect and learn

in a public library. OUR MISSION
To remove the technical and social barriers between music makers and their creative visions through affordable music workspace and professional development opportunities. OUR VALUES
Every music maker deserves to learn, grow, and progress in a supportive community. Building that community requires inclusivity, integrity, and radical hospitality.

A little piece of TRC.

The spaces matter. The equipment matters. But it’s the creativity that brings The Record Co. to life.

Come create.

As we close out another fiscal year, we’re reflecting on the moments that remind us why this work matters.

This spring, we welcomed Joseph Henry, Michelle Wu, artists, partners, and community leaders to celebrate the future of Boston’s creative community—and the role spaces like The Record Co. play in helping it thrive.

That spirit of collaboration continued this past weekend as we partnered with BAMS Fest to host this year’s festival at The Record Co.’s 55 Morrissey Blvd. campus. By opening our doors, we were proud to help ensure this beloved community celebration could continue while demonstrating what’s possible when Boston’s arts organizations come together to support one another.

As we look ahead, we’re inviting everyone who believes in this work to help us keep the momentum going.

Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, every gift made by June 30 will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $15,000.

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Record Co.—whether through a donation, partnership, volunteering, or simply showing up for our community.

Together, we’re building a stronger creative future for Boston.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared what they’re working on, made new connections, and helped make the space feel alive.

Nights like these are a reminder that Boston’s creative community is strongest when we come together.

Whether you came to network, collaborate, or simply spend time with fellow artists and creatives, we’re glad you were here.

See you soon. ✨

What happened to the kids from ZOOM?

Join us this Saturday at The Record Co. for a special premiere screening of After School Rewind, a new podcast created and hosted by former ZOOM cast member Pablo Velez (1999).

The podcast reconnects audiences with the people who shaped their childhoods through public television and explores where life took them after the cameras stopped rolling.

For Season One, Pablo sits down with former cast members from his generation of ZOOM for candid conversations about growing up, life after television, career paths, and the lasting impact of a show that inspired millions of children.

Be among the first to see Episode 1 before its public release and stay for a live conversation featuring former ZOOM cast members Lynese (1999) and Bernadette (1972).

The evening will include:
🎬 First look at Episode 1
🎤 Live Q&A with former cast members
✨ Additional special guests
🤝 An opportunity to connect with fellow fans and supporters

Admission is a donation of any amount, with all proceeds supporting The Record Co.’s mission to provide equitable access to music, creative space, and career opportunities for artists and creative entrepreneurs.
