The Record Co.

The Record Co. We’re a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to making affordable space for Boston’s music makers. Cities are an increasingly difficult place to create.

At The Record Co., we’re dedicated to bringing equity and sustainability to Boston’s music community through affordable space to record, rehearse, and gather. EVERYONE deserves to learn, grow, and progress in a supportive community. OUR VISION
A city where everyone can make and enjoy music; where it's as easy to get together and create as it is to meet and play games in a park or connect and learn

in a public library. OUR MISSION
To remove the technical and social barriers between music makers and their creative visions through affordable music workspace and professional development opportunities. OUR VALUES
Every music maker deserves to learn, grow, and progress in a supportive community. Building that community requires inclusivity, integrity, and radical hospitality.

The Record Co is hosting Moira Lo Bianco for her sound therapy certification course on June 14th and 15th.

Moira has a comprehensive and embodied perspective of the somatic healing arts by combining her knowledge and studies of meditation, yoga and music with her sound healing. She investigates the mind-body connection through the integration of the physical, energetic, emotional, intellectual and spiritual bodies.

Moira recently released her album ‘Meditative’ which was recorded entirely at The Record Co. It is a beautiful album that uses sound healing instruments and the piano, and the album can be used as a tool for sound therapy. You can listen to it and buy it on Bandcamp.

Her experience recording her album at The Record Co influenced her to want to hold her event inside of TRC’s Studio A.

If you are interested in taking this course or know someone who is, check out our link in bio to sign up. Scholarships for this course are available.

Thank you to everyone who attended the community meeting last Tuesday and added their voice to the conversation. We learned a lot from you and we are inspired by your energy, ideas, and actions. There will be more meetings to come, so please stay tuned. We’d love to see you at the next one!

There is power in numbers, and when we can add more bodies and minds to the room for these important conversations, we can demonstrate how invaluable the creative community is. You power the creative economy in Boston, and it’s time that it’s understood by those who can help us how important it is to keep artist spaces existing and affordable here.

We understand that being uprooted and disrupted from your artist workspace takes a mental and creative toll. It has happened too many times to too many artists. We know that everyone who uses our spaces invests their time, money, and creativity into their art, and we want to keep providing affordable spaces for your artistic endeavors. By investing your time and presence at these meetings and other events we will hold, you are supporting yourself and the community as a whole.

We love this community and want it to thrive and feel empowered. Will you help us help you?

Meet l.ucas (pronounced loo + kuhs): A Sonic Chameleon Making Waves at The Record Co.

From his roots in Leominster, Massachusetts, songwriter and producer l.ucas (Lucas DeLisle) has built a reputation for musical versatility that defies categorization. Working from The Record Co.'s creative spaces, he's cultivated collaborations with rising stars like layzi, Miranda Rae, OSÁ, Timi O, and Neemz.

The Record Co. has become more than just a studio for l.ucas – it's a creative sanctuary where his boundary-pushing production style can flourish. In a music industry that often pushes artists toward a signature sound, l.ucas embraces the freedom to explore, experiment, and evolve. TRC's professional spaces and supportive community provide the perfect environment for his genre-defying music-making approach.

Having access to The Record Co.'s facilities has been instrumental in l.ucas's journey, allowing him to focus on what he does best: creating music that challenges expectations while fostering meaningful collaborations with fellow artists in Boston's vibrant music scene.

Meet L.ucas: The Artist Behind the Scenes L.ucas (pronounced loo-kuhs) opens up about how The Record Co. empowers his creativity in the studio. With accessib...
