We exist to make sure money never stops the music. This year, we stood in the fight for all creativity—hosting thousands of affordable sessions and partnering with local colleges to bring real credit-bearing courses into our studios.

Kayla Blackburn is one of the many amazing artists that use our spaces to do their work. She’s an active member of Boston’s creative community who plays many roles in it. She engineers and produces clients at The Record Co and also does live sound and teaches classes on live sound at Club Passim. On top of that she’s an artist with her own music that she performs around Boston. She’s a Berklee graduate who found herself at TRC after she graduated because it’s the affordable place to go in Boston where you can get your hands on such a volume of amazing production equipment.

The Record Co is hosting Moira Lo Bianco for her sound therapy certification course on June 14th and 15th.

Moira has a comprehensive and embodied perspective of the somatic healing arts by combining her knowledge and studies of meditation, yoga and music with her sound healing. She investigates the mind-body connection through the integration of the physical, energetic, emotional, intellectual and spiritual bodies. 

Moira recently released her album ‘Meditative’ which was recorded entirely at The Record Co. It is a beautiful album that uses sound healing instruments and the piano, and the album can be used as a tool for sound therapy. You can listen to it and buy it on Bandcamp.

Her experience recording her album at The Record Co influenced her to want to hold her event inside of TRC’s Studio A.
