Is your logo ready for everything your brand needs?

When partnering with a designer to develop or refresh your organization’s logo and branding, it’s essential to have your logo in multiple file formats—not just the ones you use for social media.

Often, when I ask clients for a vector version of their logo, I’m met with a puzzled look: “What’s that?” The truth is, most organizations only have web-ready files like JPEGs or PNGs. But if you ever want to print your logo on t-shirts, banners, signage, or other promotional materials, you’ll need a vector file—formats like .ai, .svg, or .eps.

At JGJ Designs, we make sure every client walks away with a complete logo package:
* Vector files for scalable printing
* High-res and low-res versions for PowerPoint, websites, and social media
* A logo that’s ready for anything

Need your logo redrawn, updated, or reimagined so you have all the right formats on hand?

Last month, JGJ Designs had the pleasure of attending Chase Bank’s The Experience: Boston at the vibrant SoWa Boston Power Station in Boston’s South End—and what an incredible space it was! Although this was my first time at The Experience, I’ve previously attended events at Chase’s community branch in Mattapan. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but this event far exceeded my expectations.

Throughout the day, Chase hosted mini marketing workshops led by their agency, Quigley-Simpson (San Diego-based), offering practical insights and strategic takeaways. I walked away with several valuable nuggets from both sessions I attended.
It was also a great networking opportunity—I reconnected with familiar faces and made new connections with fellow professionals and .

The event was topped off with some delightful surprises: meeting and hearing from Pedro Martinez, enjoying a Boston Tea Party signature cocktail, creating a signature JGJ Designs notebook, and exploring an impressive showcase of local Chase customers and small businesses displaying their products and services.

All in all, The Experience: Boston truly lived up to its name—and then some!

What a treat!

I still get excited every time I see my work out in the world—whether in public or in print. While flipping through Roxbury Community College’s Spring/Summer Gazette, I spotted my client, President & CEO Willie Bodrick II, featured in the magazine.

And right behind him? The Roxbury Workx logo—the original was created by JGJ Designs.

Moments like these are always a proud reminder of the impact thoughtful design can have.

Year of the Rabbit Card, where have you been?

At JGJ Designs, we believe in starting each year with intention and creativity. That’s why we produce a combined New Year and a Lunar New Year card annually—designed to set the tone and share a bit of joy.

#2025 is the Year of the Snake.
#2024 was the Year of the Dragon.
#2023 marked the Year of the Rabbit.

Just last month, I received a surprise in the mail—our Year of the Rabbit card from 2023. At first glance, I thought it was this year’s card. But after a closer look, I realized it had taken a two-year detour.

Year of the Rabbit Card, where have you been?
And more importantly, what stories could you tell?

Mail delays aside, these moments remind us how meaningful can be—how it lingers, surprises, and sometimes reappears just when we least expect it.

If you're looking to create a custom card or want to send something on behalf of your organization, I’d love to help.

And yes—I promise to respond much faster than the U.S. Postal Service.

Everything Happens for a Reason…

Last week, I completed three for my client, author, colleague, mentor, and friend, . I knew she had a reading on Saturday, and the books would be right on time.

I was so surprised and delighted when another client shared a flyer for an event Candelaria was attending. I showed up unexpectedly to take promotional photos of her with the lapbooks.

Although it was a drizzly day, it was a great event, and the stories about Stacey were well-received by the children.

If you’re an author and need lapbooks, signage, posters, bookmarks, or other promotional materials for your children’s book event, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Layout and production of the lapbooks were done by JGJ Designs.
Printing was done by Color Tech of Boston.

About last night…

I had an amazing time supporting my creative sister, Ayana Mack, yesterday evening at the official unveiling of her first mural. It was spectacular!

Mother Caroline Academy & Education Center’s, a Journey Through Creativity, was a true celebration of the arts: , visual, mural, and performing arts. JGJ Designs was delighted to be personally invited by the Head of School, Dr. Claire Haith. The turnout was incredible. City Council President Ruthzee Louijeune offered words of encouragement to the students and audience.

So glad I showed up to support Mother Caroline Academy, my creative sister, Ayana Mack, and the wonderful students.

And, I added two beautiful bracelets to my growing collection.

Thanks to Roxbury Community College's Business Innovation Center for another amazing workshop. Last week, they hosted "Access to Capital", a panel discussion. Financial experts, Jason Solomon of Eastern Bank, Eddy Desir of Cambridge Savings Bank, and Lisa Holmes of www.seedcorp.com, were present to share their knowledge and advice. Norman Eng was a great and informative moderator from the U.S. Small Business Administration. I also ran into my partner in creative crime, Adam Gibbons of Small Biz Helper.
