✨ Intergenerational friendships are the ultimate antidote to ageism ✨

Meet my dear friend ... she’s 30 years younger than I am (I'm69!), and yet our friendship is effortless, joyful, and full of learning in both directions. 🤗 💖

Why do I believe these friendships matter so much?

🔹 They shatter stereotypes: Our differences in age open doors to understanding, not limitation.

🔹 They foster curiosity: We learn from each other’s perspectives, experiences, and energy.

🔹 They normalize aging: Seeing older adults living fully and proudly inspires younger friends ... and vice versa.

🔹 They build empathy: Generations connect over shared humanity, not assumptions.

Being comfortable aging out loud and proud is a radical act.

It means owning your experiences, celebrating your years, and yes ... being the oldest person in the room without shrinking back.

Age isn’t something to hide. It’s something to wear like a badge of honor. 💪

Excited to share that this Saturday I’ll be speaking on the “Ageism in Media” panel at the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) Future of Aging Summit in Boston!

This summit, organized by passionate students and young professionals, brings together aspiring visionaries in gerontology to explore biomedical advances, policy reform, and social impact.

🎟️ Registration is open if you want to attend - visit changemakersinaging.org

I’m grateful for Emily and for all the friends, young and old, who remind me every day that meaningful friendships transcend age ... and that when we embrace our age openly, we help change the narrative for everyone.

Waving from Boston and wishing you a delicious day, everywhere you GLOW - cheers! 🙋🏼‍♀️💖

What if the fear of public speaking wasn’t something to conquer ... but something to transform into confidence, joy, and self-expression?

Guest Linda Ugelow, speaking confidence and vocal coach, podcast host, and author of Delight in the Limelight, brings us an inspiring conversation about finding your voice after 65.

Once paralyzed by stage fright, Linda now guides others to speak with ease and authenticity - whether in front of a camera, on stage, or in everyday conversations.

With her background in Expressive Arts Therapy and Movement Studies, and decades performing worldwide with the women’s music ensemble Libana, Linda brings a deeply embodied approach to helping others overcome speaking fear and step into their glow.

You’ll discover:

🔹 Why fear of speaking is so common - and how to reframe it

🔹How EFT, visualization, and body awareness release anxiety

🔹The surprising link between movement, healing, and confidence

🔹What it means to delight - not dread - being in the limelight

If you’ve ever thought, “It’s too late for me to start,” Linda’s story will remind you that your voice grows more powerful with every passing year.

The stage of life is yours ... and the world is waiting to hear your beautiful, seasoned voice.

✨ Pastures are for horses, not humans! ✨

In EP 75 (🥳 woo hoo!), I share why this phrase perfectly illustrates how society treats people over 65 ... and how we can shatter those ageist beliefs.

Life after 65 isn’t about slowing down or fading into the background. It’s about:
🌿 Following your dreams (no expiration date!)
💪 Learning new things
❤️ Staying employable in new and exciting ways
🌟 Living fully and gratefully every day

I’d love to hear from you: what beliefs about aging are you ready to toss out the window? Share in the comments!

And if this episode inspires you, share it with a friend who’s ready to step out of the pasture.

Experience isn’t something to apologize for… it’s your competitive advantage! 💥

You’ve earned every bit of wisdom, courage, and confidence that comes with age ... and it’s time to own it.

Stop downplaying your experience.

Start recognizing it for what it really is: your superpower. 💪

Let’s break free from ageism and the stereotypes that try to limit us.

Be proud to be the oldest person in the room ... every decade of your story is proof of your power. 💜

Waving from Boston and wishing you a delicious (and superpowered) day, everywhere you GLOW!

Keep moving and don't give up! You GLOW Jerry!!

💛 ..
For our fitness inspiration this week, meet the incredible Jerry Leo from Long Island 💪✨ She just turned 100—but that hasn’t stopped her from curling, crunching, and holding a 3-minute plank at the YMCA!

Friends say she’s motivating a whole new generation to get up and move. She’s living proof that age is just a number and strength has no expiration date.

So if you were thinking of skipping the gym today… consider this your sign to show up and move your body. 🏋️‍♀️

Keep fueling your passion, purpose and pocketbook... woo hoo!

..
At 101 years old, Anne Angeletti is still working six days a week at her family jewelry store, Curiosity Jewelry, in Cresskill, New Jersey. She co-owns the business with her daughter and granddaughter and still insists on checking every order herself.

Anne’s work ethic was forged early. She left school to help her family’s grocery business in Brooklyn, later worked in the Navy Yard during World War II, and eventually found her calling in jewelry. Decades later, she’s still walking the diamond district in New York City, finding deals and running her shop with the same sharp eye and steady hands she’s had for years.

Her philosophy is refreshingly simple: “You must shower. You must eat. You must take care of yourself.” She believes staying active, taking pride in your work, and doing what you love is the true key to longevity.

Anne Angeletti proves that purpose, passion, and consistency can keep you vibrant at any age.

It’s Ageism Awareness Day 💪✨

And what better way to celebrate than with a woman who’s redefining aging on her own terms?

Meet Angel Cicerone — entrepreneur, creator, and pro-aging powerhouse who moved to NYC at 60 and built a whole new life of connection, creativity, and confidence.

I especially loved this advice shared:

🍷 Finding freedom and joy even when dining solo

It’s all about embracing every season of life ... unapologetically.
