The book Into the Wild chronicled the journey of twenty-four year old Christopher McCandless who died in August of 1992 after attempting to survive alone and virtually unaided on a remote Alaskan hiking trail. Now, decades after McCandless' death, we're still talking about his story, the legacy of his trek into the wild, and how he met his end.
