“Immediate Family” is a play by Paul Oakley Stovall, directed by Phylicia Rashad, making its regional premiere at Blumenthal Arts in Charlotte, NC from July 29 - August 31. The play explores themes of race, sexuality, family, and faith within a black family gathering for a wedding. The cast members discussed how the play came to be as well as the significance of the card game Bid Whist.
