The former Stoughton police officer is accused of killing 23-year-old Sandra Birchmore in 2021 and staging her death to look like a su***de. Her death was initially ruled a su***de before federal prosecutors stepped in several years later, calling it murder.

Federal prosecutors allege Farwell groomed Birchmore for s*x starting when she was 15. They claim he killed her in an attempt to stop her from revealing their s*xual relationship. Farwell has pleaded not guilty. His attorneys maintain that Birchmore took her own life.

Back in Plymouth ahead of a hearing in the Lindsay Clancy case.

The defense wants the judge to dismiss the case so it can’t be retried.

They’re also asking the judge for a required finding of not guilty, to unseal juror notes and sidebar transcripts and obtain more information about the holdout juror, including phone records.

Prosecutors are asking the court to impose a gag order so attorneys can’t speak to the media.

My heart goes out to the NBC4 and Telemundo 52 family, who are mourning the loss of reporter Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marciniw, two of the three victims of a fiery helicopter crash Tuesday night in Los Angeles. The third victim has not yet been publicly identified.

“Time touches all more gently here.”

That’s the first line of a poem at the 9/11 Memorial at the Boston Public Garden.

It was an emotional day there today as hundreds of people stopped by to remember the lives that were lost in the September 11 attacks 25 years ago.
