Hundreds To Swim at Castle Island on Saturday, August 9 To Raise Money For Cancer Research

Hundreds of swimmers plan to take to the water at Castle Island in South Boston on Saturday, August 9, for the 30th annual Swim Across America – Boston open water swim. The event raises money for cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Cancer Center.

The event takes place at Pleasure Bay and includes a half-mile, one-mile, and two-mile swim, along with a Kids’ Splash for children under 8 years old. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., followed by a welcome ceremony, safety
