SCENE MOM SAYS: It's my birthday Monday and I'm starting the celebration tonight at the April Artist Showcase with Sound Bites Events & Open Mics at Diamond Hearts Art Studio! These showcases have been so much fun to put together (and attend!) If you're in New England (studio in Gardner MA) it's worth coming by!
Our featured artists are Valerie Newman Music, Jukebox Jake , and Temple Mountain , with supporting sets from Ronald Carlson, Elias Acuna, M.C. Gill, and Amanda Meli Music! Reminder this is not an open mic, but a music and art experience we know you want to be a part of.

SCENE MOM SAYS: It’s Episode 55! https://scenemomsays.com/ This week I’m doing something a little different. Since I’m out of town this week this will only be an interview. No music or regular segments. I interviewed my longtime friend Mangan. I've known Jack for over 20 years, and he just launched an incredible new nonprofit called SLAM - Support Life And Music.
In our conversation, Jack shared his journey from musician and podcaster to industry advocate, and how he realized there was a real need for support in the music community. We talked about everything from how tough it is to make a living in music, to how SLAM is building programs like online support groups and informative panels to help musicians feel less alone.
