I have played 1/2 of this duo Aaron Noble on the show before, and a few weeks ago I met the other half and heard them perform at Jukebox Jake's album release show. Captivating psych-pop-ish sound and definitely a hint of 90's vibes. Absolutely adore their music- go and follow/stream them on all the things!

This week I’m talking about some big moves in the music world. SoundCloud’s new “All-In-One Artist” feature that’s giving independent creators more power, and TikTok’s first-ever U.S. Creator Awards. Also a marketing tip for artists, and even some good news about how music helps your brain!

But the one story that had me fired up? An AI “artist” named Xania Monet just hit the Billboard radio charts. I’ve got a lot to say about what that means for real musicians, creativity, and authenticity in the industry.

Derek has a strong, unique, and captivating voice that is a true delight to hear. He’s been working very hard recording some special covers over the past couple of years, and last week he finally released them to the world. The album is called “Ashes to Acoustics: Live at Open Mic. All of these songs were recorded via Sound Bites Events. The album features covers from Bastille, Sinéad O'Connor, Journey, REM, and others. A great listen!
