Life Alive just launched a new menu!!! The Summer Power Menu, co-created with New York Times bestselling author and nutritionist is so delightful. ☀️

I feel like I’m at allll the time so I get really excited for new menu items! This time, they reached out to me to come in and try them all! And having tried probably everything on their menu, I can confidently say these are incredible additions. Get them now until August 31.

More details about the new items:
🌱 Coconut Red Lentil Dal: 44g of plant-based protein and 20g of fiber. With curry tofu, roasted cauliflower, housemade cucumber raita, and crispy chickpeas. Warm and flavorful.

🥗 Thai Peanut Power Salad: 42g of plant-based protein and loaded with sticky sesame tofu, edamame, quinoa, and housemade peanut lime dressing. YUMMMM.

🍵 Mango Matcha: Iced matcha with *housemade* mango syrup (so it’s a little sweet), cardamom, and oat milk. 10/10

🥭 Mango Lassi Smoothie: Mango, dates, coconut yogurt, and cardamom. The cardamom really takes this one to a new level of delish.

Enjoy!

We could have been fooled but we knew going into it that these cocktails did not contain any alcohol, though they are crafted the same way you want your cocktail to be made. The ingredients, details and creativity make for a wonderfully sophisticated experience on a Tuesday or Saturday!

We sat at the bar and got to talk to the owner (and at the time bartender) KK, she told us about her previous award winning restaurant Ten Tables and her journey to creating an alcohol free space for all. What a joy and delightful human, thank you KK!

Find in Jamaica Plain. Enjoy!

Burlington is always a good idea with friends! 🥹 When my best friend told me that her best friend was running her 48th marathon in Vermont I immediately asked to crash their adventure. Here’s where I took them:

1. They got off the plane before I was able to make it there so I sent them to Four Corners of the Earth for the best sandwich of their life. This is not pictured, but trust me it’s amazing.

2. I knew they needed to try a creemee so we went to Burlington Bay because they have the best views of the waterfront and a maple black-raspberry twist that I cannot get enough of. Vermont calls the soft serve ice cream “creemee” because it’s better and creamier.

3. The South End Get Down only happens on Friday nights in the summertime but is a super fun vibe with food trucks, music, vintage, and local artisan goodies.

4. They really wanted to see the world’s tallest filing cabinet, so of course we took a spin by it. (First photo)

5. These ladies are from Ohio, where there is minimal elevation so I took them on a relatively easy/moderate hike in Stowe called Stowe Pinnacle. We also needed to run the very next day after this!! 3.5 mile out and back. We got breakfast bagels for the road from Willow’s (they have gf options too)

6. Down the road from the hike is The Alchemist where we had the best IPAs (Heady Topper is the one) and an Aperal spritz for my gluten free girlie.

7. Oh boy oh boy. The only request from our marathon queen was to see the dogs at Golden Dog Farm. How could I say no?

8. Dinner for the meat lovers was Hen of the Wood (don’t skip the mushrooms)

9. Dinner for the mouth adventure was Fancy’s

10. We loved the Wallflower Collective for drinks

11. Breakfast was Deep City

12. Shopping (and running) on Church Street

13. Coffee at August First

14. Take home treat is Farmhouse Chocolates 😋

I feel like every time I go to Newbury Street there’s something new 🙃
