How do you keep living after the unthinkable?

That's the question at the heart of Part 2 of our conversation with su***de loss survivor and mental health advocate Alli Skrbek (Alex’s Sky ), now streaming everywhere on The Survivors.

A little over a year ago, Alli lost her oldest son, Alex, to su***de. And in Part 1, she shared the story of that unimaginable loss. This week, in Part 2, we talk about what comes after.

How do you continue raising children while carrying heartbreak that never fully leaves you? And what happens when pain becomes purpose?

In this clip, Alli shares how she found her voice as a mental health advocate in the wake of Alex's death—using social media to tell the truth about su***de loss, break stigma, and reach millions with messages of hope, healing, and prevention.

Her story is a reminder that even in our darkest moments, our voices still matter.
Because surviving a su***de loss isn't about moving on. It's about finding a way to move forward while carrying the people we love with us.

Tomorrow on The Survivors, Part 2 of our conversation with su***de loss survivor and advocate Alli Skrbek (Alex’s Sky ) drops everywhere.

In Part 1, we learned that Alli lost her oldest son, Alex, to su***de a little over a year ago, and the heartbreaking events that led up to his death.

In this new episode, we talk about what happens AFTER the loss. How grief changes a family. How life keeps moving when your heart wants to stand still. And what it means to keep showing up after losing a child to su***de.

In this sneak peek, I ask Alli the question so many survivors quietly ask themselves: What keeps you going on the days that feel absolutely impossible?

"I didn't call you because Alex didn't want me to." Those are words no parent should ever hear.

This week on The Survivors, mom and mental health advocate Alli Skrbek (Alex’s Sky ) shares the moment she learned that in the days leading up to her son Alex's su***de, he had been threatening to take his own life while living with his aunt—but no one reached out to tell her.

As parents, we can't intervene if we don't know there's a crisis.

This episode is a powerful reminder that when someone's life may be at risk, we have to speak up—even when it's uncomfortable.

During Men's Mental Health Awareness Month (and all the other months), let's remember that su***de often happens in silence. So, if you're worried about someone, make the call. Ask the question. Reach out. Take action. Because silence can carry consequences that last forever.

As parents, we're taught to look for the big warning signs with our kids that something is wrong, like a change in behavior or withdrawal or sleep changes or a loss of interest in things they once loved. But sometimes, the signs are more subtle.

In this clip from Part 1 of our conversation with Alli Skrbek (Alex’s Sky ) on The Survivors, Alli recalls the signs she saw in her son Alex before his su***de, and why paying attention to the less obvious changes matters.

During Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, this is an important reminder that men and boys don't always show us their pain in obvious ways. Sometimes the signs are whispers. And whispers deserve our attention too.

One of the greatest myths about su***de is that people who take their own lives don't love the people they leave behind. And that's just false.

Alli Skrbek (Alex’s Sky ), our guest this week on The Survivors, wants you to know that's not true about her son Alex who died by su***de last year. Alex loved deeply. He loved his family. He loved his friends. And they loved him fiercely in return.

In this clip from Part 1 of our two-part conversation, Alli shares a truth that many su***de loss survivors come to understand: Su***de isn't about an absence of love. It's about the pain that drowns out everything else.

A mother's intuition is a powerful thing. And in this clip from Part 1 of our conversation with Alli Skrbek (Alex’s Sky ) on this week's new episode of The Survivors Podcast, she shares something that will stop many parents in their tracks: She knew.

Long before the phone call that changed her life forever, Alli felt in her gut that something was wrong with her son, Alex. And she'd been doing everything in her power to get him the help he needed.

She remembers calling her ex-husband and expressing a fear no parent ever wants to speak out loud—that Alex might take his own life.

But instead of having those fears validated, she was repeatedly told not to worry. That Alex was fine. That he was just acting like a typical 21-year-old.

What happens when the people around you dismiss the very thing your heart is trying to tell you?

This is one of the most heartbreaking moments from one of the rawest conversations we've shared on the podcast.

Part 1 of our conversation with Alli is streaming everywhere now.

⚠️ Warning: This post mentions su***de and the loss of a child and may be triggering.

That’s where Alli Skrbek’s (Alex’s Sky ) story begins.

In Part 1 of our 2-part conversation, Alli shares the story no parent should ever have to tell.

Just over a year ago, she lost her oldest son, Alex, to su***de.

In this heartbreaking episode, Alli shares the unimaginable pain of losing a child, the questions that still haunt her, and the devastating reality that family members who witnessed Alex’s struggles never told her or her husband how serious the situation had become.

The clip you’re about to watch is one of the most difficult moments from our conversation.

This is a story of a family forever changed. But it’s also a story of what comes next.

And it’s one of the hardest conversations we’ve shared in 5 seasons of The Survivors.
