FROM THE PRD DEPARTMENT OF CONFUSION:
PRD's desk was sent into a fit of hysterics this morning after receiving a tip off that Fernando Alonso had managed to finish 9th in an Aston Martin.

"Haha, good one," chuckled Maka, our founder tossing the press release straight into the recycling bin.
"Tell me another one. Did Lance Stroll get pole position, too?"

“We made a public statement about not making any more Aston Martin jokes this year and we are sticking to it” Toasty Trev explains.

However, after cross referencing with a reputable source (watching Kayo on his phone while on the throne), the mood in the newsroom suddenly shifted.
"Wait... hang on," whispered Toasty Trev, frantically refreshing the Formula 1 app. "Actually, is that real?"

Sources confirm it is, indeed, real. Against all laws of aerodynamics, physics, and common sense, the Spaniard somehow dragged that absolute British Green sh*tbox across the line in P9 without the engine exploding or being 3 working days behind the rest of the field.

FROM THE PRD DEPARTMENT OF UNDERCOVER MEDIA:

Officials are investigating reports that Brodie Kostecki and Will Brown have been using the Queensland Raceway podium green room as an illicit recording studio, after the pair shared the steps in every single race this weekend.

With both drivers spending time stuck in the makeshift green tent waiting for trophy presentations, the duo reportedly realised they were allegedly doing an undercover, impromptu episode of their Lucky Dogs podcast.

More to come.

OPINION:

For the last little bit of time, there has been word in the pit lane that there's a plan to axe "The Paperclip" from next year's Supercars calendar.

Because let’s be honest, QR isn’t Bathurst, nor is it Adelaide. It’s six corners of flat bitumen slapped down in a wind swept paddock in Willowbank.

Even with the great efforts by Tony Quinn, who has spent a small chocolate and pet food based fortune to freshen up the joint, it seems Supercars might go another way, lured by the bait of potential government taxpayer moolah.

But then the weekend happened. And the racing was fan-f***king-tastic.

Instead of the dull, single file aerodynamic procession we can see at some tracks (The Bend, sorry not sorry), QR delivered an absolute masterclass in motorsport.

We had blokes dive bombing into Turn 3, running side by side and bashing doors like it was 2005.

Proper champagne Supercars action.

Absolute Cinema.

It was chaotic, aggressive, and incredibly entertaining. You know, the exact things people actually tune in to watch V8s for. There is something magical about the sheer simplicity of the place that tends to serve racing well.

And it wasn't just the lunacy on the tarmac. According to my Motorsport Moshpit podcast co-host, Pheven, who bravely ventured into the wilderness to mingle with the locals and witness the spectacle firsthand.

The atmosphere on the hill was, to use his exact phrasing, "definitely good." Now, if you speak fluent Australian motorsport fan, you'll know that "definitely good" is the highest possible praise. It means the racing was fierce, and the general ambience was nothing short of electric.

Look, I get I'm just a punter on a couch. I get the chase for corporate glitz and glamour. But as the tyre smoke clears on Sunday afternoon, even the most rusted on motorsport executives surely had to be looking out over that dusty paddock, ripping up their strategic vision, and thinking the exact same thing:

F**k... maybe Supercars should stay at QR after all.

IPSWICH – After six months of driving like he was towing a caravan up a mountain Range, Will Brown has finally returned to the winner's circle at Queensland Raceway.

The champion driver, affectionately known as the 'Toowoomba Seagull', rocked up to 'The Paperclip' in Ipswich today with the feral intensity of a coastal bird spotting an unguarded fish and chips wrapper.

More to come.

FROM THE PRD DEPARTMENT OF DIGITAL RELICS:

For decades, Australian motorsport purists have criticized Queensland Raceway for its simple yet effective six corner layout.

However, leaked 1999 Ipswich City Council meeting minutes obtained by PRD have revealed a much darker origin story. The track wasn't designed by a civil engineer, nor a motorsport veteran. It was allegedly auto generated by Microsoft Office 98.

According to documents claimed to be found in a stash of floppy disks recovered from the basement of the Ipswich Civic Centre, the council had completely blown the region's 1999 infrastructure budget on ###X Gold and a hefty air con bill. Tasked with delivering a world class V8 Supercar circuit by the end of the financial year, a panicked mayor opened a fresh Word document.

"He was just trying to type up a memo about the V8s, and that smug little metallic bastard popped up in the bottom right corner," explains local historian Barry 'Stevo' Stevens.

The digital assistant tapped on the glass of the CRT monitor and offered a fateful prompt: "It looks like you're trying to design a motor racing circuit. Would you like help with formatting?"

Desperate and lacking any CAD software, the council clicked 'Yes'.

The council printed it out, handed it directly to the local asphalt contractors, and simply told them to "make it exactly like this, but three kilometres long."
The result was the six corner wonder that has terrorized brake pads for over two decades.

FROM THE PRD DEPARTMENT OF PULLING SICKIES:

There is a growing fear within Repco Supercars paddock that may enter a state of sheer, unadulterated panic come finals time. But the existential dread currently keeping pit lane bosses awake at night isn't about tyre pressures, parity, or the sudden death finals format.
It’s the schedule.

After months of assuming Grand Theft Auto 6 was dropping well before the bp Adelaide Grand Final, a quick glance at a calendar has revealed a far more terrifying reality: it doesn't clash. It drops on Thursday, November 19, 2026.

Exactly one week before the Grand Final kicks off on November 26.

For team principals, this is the worst case scenario. It means that the final four drivers competing for the championship will have exactly seven days of downtime between the Sandown semi final and the Adelaide decider…..right as the biggest video game of the decade hits shelves.

"If the game came out on the Saturday of the Adelaide 500, at least I’d have the little bastards strapped into a five point harness doing 250km/h where I can see them. Instead, they’ve got a completely empty week of 'prep time.' I know for a fact my lead driver is going to lock himself in a dark apartment, survive entirely on UberEats, and not see the sun for six days."

Dietitians across the paddock are reportedly scrambling, terrified that elite athletes peaking for a championship decider will instead spend their crucial recovery week living off Mountain Dew and party mix lollies.

"Mate, I’ve already told my PR manager that I’m doing a 'high altitude sensory deprivation isolation camp' from the 19th to the 25th," a anonymous driver insisted. "I’ve told everyone: absolutely no media appearances, no sponsor dinners, no phone calls."

At press time, Supercars management was reportedly looking into whether they could mandate drug testing for 'Gamer Fatigue' ahead of the Thursday practice sessions.

FROM THE PRD DEPARTMENT OF REBOOTS:
Fans of the long running sporting soap opera Formula 1 are threatening to cancel their broadcast subscriptions this week, accusing the European showrunners of completely running out of original ideas.

The heavy backlash comes after the official plot synopsis for this weekend's 2026 Dutch Grand Prix revealed that the writers are simply dusting off a three year old storyline, crossing out the names, and hoping nobody notices.

According to the latest press release, Red Bull Racing's Isack Hadjar has miraculously sustained a wrist injury in the gym during the summer break. His replacement for the upcoming race at Zandvoort? None other than the Pukekohe Punisher, Liam Lawson, who is stepping up to partner Max Verstappen.

If this feels like a severe case of motorsport déjà vu, it's because the writers literally used this exact plot device in Season 2023.

The 2023 Original: Daniel Ricciardo breaks a metacarpal in his left hand at Zandvoort, then Liam Lawson gets the emergency call up.

The 2026 Reboot: Isack Hadjar breaks his wrist right before Zandvoort, and Liam Lawson gets the emergency call up.

Diehard fans are understandably ropeable at the sheer laziness of the FIA's creative direction.
"It's like they sacked the entire writers' room during the summer shutdown and just asked an intern to copy paste the 2023 script," complained local motorsport tragic, Damo. "What's next? Are they going to bring back the 'Ferrari forgets how to put on tyres' arc? Mate, give us some fresh material!"

Despite the blatant plagiarism of their own intellectual property, the weekend will proceed, hopefully with some twists that will make everyone forgive the lazy premise.

FROM THE PRD DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICE:

With Supercars descending on Queensland Raceway this weekend, motorsport journalists across the nation are preparing to dust off footage from last year’s Ipswich round, ensuring the legendary clash between Will Brown and Ryan Wood gets its mandatory news cycle.

Despite the endless replays of the infamous incident and the subsequent single digit salute from the Toowoomba Seagull, Australia’s premier motorsports reporters have shown a alarming lack of creativity, simply referring to it as "that incident from last year."

As a budding titan of local motorsport journalism, Post Round Dump is stepping in to save the broadcast media from their own Blandness. We have officially compiled a definitive, broadcast ready list of moniker options for any network willing to give us a cheeky shoutout.

FROM THE PRD DEPARTMENT OF YEAH NAH YEAH:

A Melbourne man has reportedly avoided a drink driving charge after arguing that his breathalyser reading was within the manufacturer tolerance.

The man, who allegedly returned a reading over the legal limit, told police he had been following the Kai Allen tyre pressure case and believed the same principle should apply.

“Your honour, the bloke’s tyres were 0.2psi under and they let him keep his points because the sensor has a 0.4psi tolerance.”
“I’m 0.04 over, its Basically bloody legal.”

The magistrate reportedly asked whether he understood that tyre pressure regulations and Victorian drink driving laws were two completely different things.

The man reportedly responded:
“Yeah, but did you check the breathalyser’s VSD?”

He has since lodged an appeal arguing that his mouth was technically within operational tolerance.
“Clear and consistent application of the rules is fundamental to maintaining the integrity, fairness and credibility of the championship,” he reportedly told the court, which he claims he did not copy from a PR statement.

FROM THE PRD DEPARTMENT OF AMERICA F**K YEAH:
High Ranking officials at Liberty Media and the FIA have been left thoroughly bewildered after Cadillac’s Formula 1 entry quietly abandoned its multi million dollar open wheel development program to simply roll their World Endurance Championship hypercar out of a shipping container.

Facing continuous headache over 2026 engine regulations and complex active aerodynamics, engineers at General Motors reportedly threw their hands up on Tuesday morning, unbolted a 5.5 litre naturally aspirated V8 endurance beast from their WEC garage, and drove it straight into the Silverstone pit lane.

The move has already thrown paddock telemetry into chaos primarily because the Cadillac V-Series.R is not only vastly more reliable than half the current grid, but it also sounds like a low flying fighter jet crashing into a pub brawl.

"We spent three years trying to make a battery pack that doesn't explode when you hit a curb," explained one exhausted lead engineer while wiping grease off a pair of safety goggles.

"Then someone pointed out we already had a machine in the shed that can run flat out for 24 hours straight without spitting its dummy. It’s got doors, it’s got headlights, and it actually goes fast. Why spend half a billion dollars on a front wing when you can just barge right through team radio traffic with 1000 horsepower of pure Detroit noise?"

"The downforce is exceptional, and I don't have to wear a helmet visor because there's glass in front of me," Bottas told press from inside the driver’s side door. "Plus, if George Russell tries to dive bomb me into turn four, he just bounces off my rear bumper while I turn the high-beams on to blind him."

At press time, Cadillac management was seen attempting to bribe FIA technical delegates with cheeseburgers.
