◖ hiatus ◗

it was beautiful taking some time off this past month for our wedding (we get previews of our gallery this weekend!!) I’m starting to feel all the creativity rushing back into my bones, like an old friend returning home.. truly can’t believe it’s August already, and yet I’m unbelievably grateful, in love + excited for the next chapter 🖤

thinking of all the ways I can spend time with the girls the rest of the summer, including: trying some new sports, running our first dog-friendly 5k, and attending some agility seminars! excited to hear about what everyone has been up to these last few weeks…

going with the flow 🏔️🌿🌊

we’ve only went camping twice this summer, but it doesn’t mean that we aren’t active outside… if anything, we are somehow busier than normal. it truly makes us appreciate slowing down with the dogs whenever we have a spare moment, and I’ve found I haven’t reached for my camera as much lately.

it’s finally our wedding week & we can’t wait to share more once things settle down — but for now, we’ve got family + friends coming into town. the girls will be coming with on my bachelorette trip! going to take some time off + enjoy 🤍

who grumble low in both annoyance
and playful love,
who sit patiently for handouts
(and gently nudge a reminder when needed.)

and although I know one day
the last of your fur will fall off my clothes,

I hope I’ll always see a bit of you in every dog I have the privilege of knowing

as if your soul lives on inside them.

filling our years full of love 💌

what a gift it is
to love & be loved
to know heartbreak
alongside immense passion

it seems that these are the hallmarks of a good life, of stories to tell, of attempts made to reap what we sow.

we surround ourselves with souls that set our own on fire.

may we all continue to love
with the wisdom it holds
and never let go
of the ones who return it.

what’s your pup’s favorite time of year?

Leia would say autumn
because the cooler weather
still allows for an occasional dip
in the lake

but winter is a close second…
only because snow is edible.
