The Boulder Writers' Workshop is back with its Summer 2019 Seminar Series. The Memoir Writing Seminar is perfect for those writing their first book, whether you are at the idea stage or in the process of revision. This in-depth, 10-week class gives you a leg up on planning, writing and revising your memoir, including how to avoid common pitfalls. The class consists of lectures, readings and in-class critiques, plus numerous handouts and two hours of personal coaching outside of class. Class sizes are limited to eight to maximize personalized feedback. You won't find another class this in depth or rigorous in the Front Range area outside a university setting. The class is $750 and payment plans are available. About the Instructor: Lori DeBoer has an MFA in creative writing and has ghostwritten or done developmental editing on more than 50 books. Her awards include a Pushcart Prize nomination and finalists slots for the Bellevue Literary Prize and the Glimmer Train Fiction Open. She has taught at CU Denver, Arizona State University, Phoenix College and elsewhere. For registration details, email [email protected].

I have an internship available for the Boulder Writers' Workshop for the spring. The intern would be responsible for marketing and social media, writing articles, updating the website, helping with member management and programming and working on The Flatirons Literary Review. It is an unpaid internship with extremely flexible hours. There is a possibility of it turning into freelance work in the summer for the candidate who excels. If interested, please e-mail me at [email protected] and tell me a little bit about your qualifications and why you are interested in the job! Thanks!
