Rula Jebreal’s remarks about Hakeem Jeffries, and Wajahat Ali’s response, deserve a closer look. She used racist language, then denied racist intent. Ali acknowledged the language’s racial connotations while pointing to her disclaimer.

No receipts on the screen. No polished presentation. Just an unfiltered, unedited, profanity-filled rant from someone who has been keeping score.

Before you ask immigrants, “Why are you here?” ask your own government, “What were we doing in their countries?”

Across the United States and Europe, some of the loudest anti-immigrant voices remain willfully ignorant of history. Many of the nations they now dismiss as violent, unstable “sh*tholes” did not simply collapse on their own. Western powers invaded them, colonized them, enslaved their people, drew artificial borders, installed and removed leaders, exploited their resources, inflamed ethnic and sectarian divisions, and imposed foreign systems of power.

Then came the modern version: the decapitation strategy.

Remove a country’s leadership. Destroy or destabilize its institutions. Seize the oil, minerals, land, or strategic advantage. Declare victory. Leave ordinary people behind to face power vacuums, rebel factions, civil war, economic collapse, and generations of displacement.

When the people whose homes were shattered inevitably fled, the very nations that helped create the crisis turned around and called them invaders, criminals, and terrorists. We mocked their countries, resented their presence, and pretended their migration had nothing to do with our foreign policy.

Donald Trump is reviving that same reckless playbook: disrupt, extract, dominate, and show no concern for what happens afterward. The powerful make the decisions; innocent families inherit the wreckage.

Colonialism and imperialism did not bring civilization to empty, chaotic lands. They entered sovereign societies, reordered them for Western benefit, renamed their territories, divided their people, imposed racial hierarchies, extracted their wealth, and left scars that remain visible today.

So before demanding to know what “those people” are doing here, learn what America and Europe did there.

Research that first.

Then ask your question.

But first, I’m breaking down 10 ways content creators make money, from platform revenue and subscriptions to products, affiliates, merchandise, templates and community support.

The clues about my own operation may have been hiding in plain sight, especially in my bank account.

Apparently, this was the Republican plan:

• Abandon investigations into tax fraud, white-collar crime, illegal guns, drugs, child trafficking, s*x trafficking and domestic violence.

• Drop cases protecting consumers from banks and corporations accused of fraud.

• Gut the CFPB, purge experienced DOJ and FBI professionals, and replace them with loyalists who miss deadlines, submit defective filings and frustrate judges.

• Investigate political enemies while ignoring the crimes these agencies were created to pursue.

• Keep relitigating cases the government repeatedly loses.

• Keep trying to force states to enforce federal immigration policy.

• Keep threatening grants when states refuse to surrender their data.

• Keep targeting transgender people, athletes, schools, doctors and medical records.

• Keep punishing sanctuary cities, despite court after court saying no.

• Keep detaining people with no criminal records or removal orders.

• Cancel legal protections without doing the required review, then run to a friendly Supreme Court.

• Attack birthright citizenship, despite what the Constitution says.

• Impose sweeping tariffs without lawful authority, damage trade relationships and raise prices.

• Hand major agencies to people with no meaningful experience in education, museums, libraries, science, public health or national security.

• Fire inspectors, scientists, food-safety specialists, disease experts and other professionals who keep the public safe.

• Eliminate DEI in the name of “merit,” then install some of the least qualified people imaginable.

• Deregulate the industries responsible for keeping our food, water, medicine, workplaces and financial system safe.

• Spend taxpayer money on propaganda, vanity projects, unusable aircraft and poorly planned fleets of government vehicles.

• Let officials solicit money from industries their agencies regulate while turning public office into reality television.

• Withhold research funding, disrupt universities and delay projects that benefit ordinary Americans.

• Damage the economy, weaken alliances, flirt with unnecessary wars and then pretend none of it was predictable.

After nearly 20 months, what is the grand policy achievement? Another prescription-drug website duplicating services that already exist.

Meanwhile, the country is being hollowed out in real time.

This is not governing. It is grievance, incompetence and corruption dressed up as policy.

And Republicans in Congress did not merely watch it happen. They approved it, funded it, defended it and enabled it.

That is their legacy.

I was diagnosed with ADHD earlier this year, and honestly, it explains so much.

I have ADHD moments all the time, but this morning was especially terrible.

I started one, two, three, four, FIVE different tasks, completed none of them, and somehow wasted an entire hour.

Lesson learned: it may be time to talk to my doctor about adjusting my dosage.

Anyway, that’s my life in a nutshell.
