Cracks in wood backing? This is how I fix them 👇
Using Bondo wood filler to repair a deep crack — from mixing, applying, to sanding smooth.

This fast ASMR-style process is one of my go-to techniques for furniture restoration and refinishing when wood needs to be stabilized before paint or stain.

My final piece of 2025.

This was a simple commission… but not so simple at the same time. The client wanted the table to be stripped and sanded but did not want it finished. I was happy to oblige!

The original finish was a black and brown combination of paint to create a rustic look but it was in desperate need of a makeover. I love seeing hand carved details stripped and raw.

Do you prefer the original finish or stripped?

P.s. the first photo is ai to fill out the background since my staging wall isn’t big enough.

I am THANKFUL!

What an incredible year that saw 30+ pieces of furniture, 2 kitchens, working in California, running a successful Etsy shop, partnering with so many wonderful companies whose products make my life easier, so many amazing clients who trust me with some of their most prized family heirlooms or wanted to update their furniture. I’m so excited for all the goodness that 2026 will bring!

Happy New Year!

From rustic cabin to timeless classic ✨
This pine desk + hutch got a full style reset—raw bark pulls and chunky trim removed, replaced with antique brass hardware and a clean, modern edge. Finished in Voodoo Gel Stain in To***co Road, bringing out warm depth while toning down the rustic vibe.

Cherry, but make it neutral 🤍
Swipe to see the transformation ➡️

This dresser + nightstand set was fully stripped and bleached using a two-part wood bleach to remove the heavy red undertones. From there, a layered paint wash + stain wash created this soft, natural finish.

To modernize the piece, we added fluted panels to the doors and finished everything with new brass hardware—subtle details that make a big impact.

Would you keep the original finish or choose the after? 👇

Products used:
paint stripper
wood bleach
3x4 sander
Orbital Sander
paint in Badlands (paint wash)
stain in Antique Oak (paint wash)
Polycrylic
Earlex paint sprayer
Fluted panels

Here’s what I do:

Stain wash! You’ve probably heard of paint washing but have you heard of stain washing??

It’s SO easy and the results are subtle and stunning! I first did a tan paint wash and then did the following:

1. Grab a water based stain in your preferred color (I’m using Antique oak by on this piece)
2. Mix the stain with water. (I don’t measure I just go with vibes but you can try a 2:1 ratio or 1:1. If it’s too light, you can always add another layer!)
3. Wipe on. Wipe off. Just like you would when staining.
4. Let dry.
5. Marvel at the beauty.

SO easy!

When a Nashville based interior designer asks you to take on a project, you take on that project!!

Proof that even refinishing projects have their plot twists 😅
But this mid-century table (60s/70s) came out better than I imagined. We shifted from a light blonde/tan to a rich, dimensional brown that totally elevated the piece.

Thank you for trusting me with your vision! (Y’all go check her out! She has a brilliant eye for design, impeccable taste and is truly a gem of a person!)
