A gentle reminder as classrooms fill up: you may have a student with dyslexia sitting in front of you this year.

Dyslexia can look different from child to child, and sometimes the signs aren’t immediately obvious. A child may be incredibly bright and capable while still struggling to read, spell, or keep up with written work.

A little patience, understanding, and the right support can make a huge difference.

Let’s make sure every child knows… “You are capable. We just may need to find a different way to help you get there.” 📚✨🩵

Back-to-school means lots of new opportunities for language! 🏫✏️🎒🗣️

Instead of asking questions that can be answered with “yes” or “no,” try asking questions that encourage your child to tell, describe, explain, and share.

If your child is working on a speech sound, you can sneak in practice by asking questions that naturally encourage that sound!
