Whether you're in Bowling Green or not, or Catholic or not, all are welcome to tonight's BG Catholic Young Adult Group gathering!

Tonight's topic: Battling and Healing from Addiction to Po*******hy

- Applicable whether you deal with this personally or not

'Young Adult' (21-40ish) faith sharing group.

Bi-weekly on Wednesdays (TONIGHT)
6:30-8:30pm

What is it?
A series of conversations around the question of what the Bible has to say about human sexuality, destiny, and the meaning of life. The content is a combination of live presentations by Nick De La Torre and videos from Christopher West's "Introduction to the Theology of the Body," followed by discussion and prayer.

We like to have a good time while we discuss the Good News so it's BYOB! Treat yourself by bringing some beverages for yourself, if you want!

We Are Impacted By the Sins of Our Parents | June 25, 2023

Today we take a moment to reflect on Romans 5:12-14. “Yet death exercised dominion from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sins were not like the transgression of Adam.” Original sin reveals to us how everything is connected. We are impacted by the choices of our parents and our ancestors. Our sinful natures are due to the choices of Adam and Eve. But no matter what has happened to you, or what you have done, God’s love and mercy for you is beyond measure.

Learn Reverence | June 24, 2023

Today we reflect on Acts 13:22-26. “No, but one is coming after me; I am not worthy to untie the thong of the sandals on his feet.” Saint John the Baptist understood that the Messiah was The Word of God made flesh. We should learn from John to have reverence for Christ, our Savior, and recognize also the incredible love of God to descend to us at every mass in the Eucharist.

Don’t Sacrifice Faith for Worldly Success | June 23, 2023

Today we dive into the gospel of Matthew 6:19-23. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break in and steal.” Are we sacrificing the importance of faith to elevate certain achievements in life? Worldly things will eventually fade away. The only thing that really lasts is a relationship with our Lord.

Today we reflect on 1 Peter 4:12-19. “If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the spirit of glory, which is the spirit of God, is resting on you.” What is your faith based on? Is your love of God based solely on the blessings in your life? Be careful that you don’t get caught up in the sensory pleasures of life, but rather focus on the spiritual reality of the state of your soul.

Today we take a look at 2 Corinthians 9:6-11. “The one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” How are you living your Christian faith? Are you discipling the people in your immediate circle and in your community? It’s time to show God to people in your life through service. People will not care what you know until they know that you care.
