So I read a post that said do you question the price difference from Walmart to another company as far as jeans go. What your paying for is the difference in quality. Then added well then do not question one yards price over another's as some just charge more do to an increase in quality( in a nut shell, as the post was a bit more in depth). So here is my take-
Denim is denim. So comparing that to the significant difference in breeding qualities across the board is a bit off. What your paying for with name brands ( as far as jeans and most fashion goes) is the name. Not the quality at all. Most companies use the same fabric and factories to produce their goods. Their individual popularity determines their price.
In some cases it's the same as I mentioned with breeders as well. Some will see a popular kennel and figure the high price is due to an increase in quality. Yet it's only due to supply and demand. One can get lost in sales and marketing tactics if their not careful. When buying anything it's best to do your homework on the producer and the productions. Just because something has a high price tag does not make it better in quality. Just because something is priced low doesn't make it poor quality either. In some cases people can afford to keep prices low do to good business techniques and success of sales.
To each their own but in my opinion prices are set by what someone is willing to pay not by what is being sold. A lot comes into play to place a decent tag on any product or production.
In any case simply doing the business in person, talking with the salesperson( and in some cases previous buyers) and getting hands on the product being sold can give you all the reassurance to buy or run!
Stop being led into buying what your told is a good product and just do the research yourself. Look into the pedigree, call their references, talk to the breeder a few times, go see the pups( or at least see live feed of them) and get the most information you can to make a sound choice. A good salesmen can sell sand at the beach. An educated buyer can see a salesmen from a mile away. Do not get sold but rather get informed and make the decision on your own.
