Mark your calendars for November 11–12, when the Northern Taurid meteor shower peaks in our night sky. Known for producing slow-moving, bright fireballs, this shower is one of the most dazzling sights of the year!
While the Taurids don’t bring huge numbers of meteors, the few you’ll see can be truly spectacular — glowing fragments of ancient comet Encke burning up in Earth’s atmosphere.
Best time to watch: After midnight, under a dark sky away from city lights.
