Our hearts are a little heavy this evening. We've been domiciled in South Dakota for years. We love it in the Spring, Summer and early Fall. It's come to an end due to health insurance issues.
We have Medicare and require Medicare Advantage plans because that's what works best for us. We discovered that all major insurance companies have decided to eliminate Medicare Advantage plans in South Dakota, leaving us blindsided.
We determined that moving our domicile to Texas is our best move. Our future domicile address has Medicare Advantage plans available.
Jumping through all the hoops will be challenging! But heck, living full-time on the road, flexibility is a must. We really like Texas, and I'm (Michael) originally from Texas. I guess life has come full circle.
We can sure sympathize with folks that are upset with health insurance. But by God's grace we have a plan.
We'll visit South Dakota probably yearly. We will miss being South Dakotans.
