Couple of miracles happened over the past 2 days!
1. While stopping at a Rest Area I did my usual walk around and happened to see a bald spot on the outside edge of one of the 5th wheel tires. After further inspection, I noticed the tread was starting to separate! I immediately changed the tire. That bad tire had to be turned just right for me to see it. We found a Discount Tire store that was on our route. The miracle part is they found 2 more tires on the 5th wheel that were separating! Because we had warranty certificates, they replaced 3 tires free! We ended up getting all 4 changed! Saved over $800 because we had the warranty certificates! The big deal is that this could have been a real disaster!
2. After getting set up at our new site in Colorado, we checked the washer and dryer, making sure they worked (we went over some really bad roads), the dryer started making really loud screeching noises! I thought the bearings went out! When I pulled the dryer out to troubleshoot, I took the top off and found that a piece of metallic tape had fallen off and was rubbing on the drum, making all the racket! I replaced it and the dryer worked fine! A 20 minute job with no cost! This could have been very expensive!
We're blessed, for sure!
