Well as one would say that was a heck of a storm season. Looking ahead the next couple days it’s pretty quiet. Madison Dawson Boyd and surrounding areas are currently under a severe thunderstorm warning. Hazardous conditions include 60mph winds and 1” hail, posing a considerable damage threat. It is advisable to stay away from windows and continue monitoring the storms via local weather radio or NOAA radio.

As follows, multiple severe thunderstorm warnings are currently in effect, with winds of 60-75 mph and hail of nearly 1 inch anticipated. * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northwestern Chippewa County in west central Minnesota... Southeastern Lac qui Parle County in west central Minnesota...

* Until 400 PM CDT.

* At 324 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles northeast of Dawson, or 13 miles west of Montevideo, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Milan, Watson and Lac Qui Parle State Park.
