I have gut wrenching news. The winner of our giveaway has passed away. While I didn’t know Carl, I do know he was a veteran, a father, a brother, a son and of course a welder. He started his business Hall Custom Fabrication, I would like to think El Carcol would’ve helped him build that business in every way he could’ve imagined. We will be in touch with his next of kin to give them options of : option 1- us selling the truck on his behalf with 100% of the proceeds going to his family. Option 2- we give them the truck in which another family member can utilize it. Option 3- We give the truck to the next person randomly chosen. Rest in Peace Carl. I wish I would’ve gotten to know you.

I think overhead Aluminum is the most painful welding process, it’s burnt me more than any other. But at least with my HTP America - USA Weld Freedom 3000, it makes the welding easy

I have a unusual take on business. The guy you see behind me is another local welding business owner, my biggest competitor. Most guys see other welding outfits in there area as competition, I see it as opportunity. Robert is a great welder and business owner. Everytime I’m short handed, I need some steel that I don’t carry, I need a piece of equipment he owns or just some advice, he’s my first call. He’s always on time and never tries to steal a customer. In fact we send customers each others way when it’s a job more geared towards the other. So this is your sign to stop treating other people in your business as competitors. I’m not saying you’ll be able to work with everyone but I am saying finding someone who you can work with can be beneficial to everyone.

In this video, we're tackling a pipe fence entrance installation. We walk through the full process: pulling top rail elevation, laying out and cutting copes with a torch, setting the top rail, and hanging continuous panel.
But no job goes perfectly. We run into arc blow issues (and why switching to AC made all the difference), discover the new panels are 16" on center instead of 12", and have to improvise without hangers on site. Real talk with the contractor included.
