David Greer, shown here in this video is an old colleague and friend of mine. He's one of the most amazing conservationists I've had the pleasure to know. While this short story doesn't show it, he and his wife, Chloe, are the king and queen of community based conservation. I found a Redtail Hawk nest while on a shoot last week. I was lucky enough, from my hide, to see some wonderful interactions between the parents and the two little fellows in the nest.

This is a pair of sandhill cranes that frequent a local wetland here in Bozeman. What you can't see in the picture (because the grass was too tall in this area) are two orange chicks following behind.

Here is an Ebony Jewel Wing Damselfly found in Hammock Farms. She was sitting on this leaf right in the middle of the sun, only leaving to snag a little dinner before coming back to it.
