It’s no longer considered safe to archive your family memories on DVDs.

For years, Video Techniques and most other companies have recommended saving your family videos, slides, photos and audio to DVDs. This was considered the best way to go, but that is no longer true. DVDs have a limited shelf life and now we are recommending transferring your most important memories from DVDs to High performance Flash Drives.

Up to 100 DVDs can be transferred to one Flash Drive. The files created are true computer files. When flash drives go away, and they certainly will, if someone pays due diligence the material can be transferred to whatever is next. The flash drives have pure computer files which will be readable on the next generation of computers.

We believe we have an obligation to protect your memories into the future. We are offering at a breakeven price to convert your memories to MP4 video files on a Flash Drive for $3.95 each – if we produced the DVDs. You may have DVDs created by a company that is no longer in business. We will convert DVDs we didn’t produce for $5.95 each.

We’ve heard from some of our regular customers that they have been too busy dealing with the challenges of Hurricanes Helene and Milton to focus on getting their Videos, Films, Slides and Photos ready for us to process in time for Christmas giving.

We’re concerned that our usual “Christmas Rush” which starts around October 1st is just going to start later this year and we may not be able to accommodate all the orders that will be coming in time for Christmas.

We would like our customers to take a little time now to get their materials ready and drop them off so we can start working on them before we are swamped by last minute orders.

To make this happen, we are offering to take 30% off our regular pricing now through 4:00PM Sunday, October 20th, 2024. This applies to all orders dropped off at either our lab office or our booth and the Red Barn Flea Market.
