The Universal River
Written By Taylor Annette Brewer AKA Honey B. Blues
There is a Great River that runs through all things. It flows through valleys and along the Great Plains, through the stars, through time, through the very fabric of existence. It is the thread that binds the seen and the unseen, the ancient and the yet-to-be. We are its drops—tiny, separate in form but inseparable in essence, moving together toward a vast, unending sea.
We gave the Great River a blessed Great Name. Some called it spirit, some called it love, and others called it the universe itself. The river was never bound by words, yet it was blessed by them. It flowed in silence, carrying a universal whisper of galaxies and the breath of newborn worlds. It connected everything—the soil beneath our feet, the sun on our faces, the dreams in our hearts.
For a long time, we forgot the Great River was there. We stood apart, building walls and drawing lines, claiming pieces of land as if they could ever truly belong to us. We called ourselves different—different nations, different tribes, different lives. But the river kept flowing, unbroken and patient, waiting for us to remember.
And when we listened—truly listened—we heard a silent yet thunderous, invisible and intangible call matching the beat of our hearts. In our veins pulsed a calling back to the river. The quiet knowing that the same force that moves the tides moves us, too.
In that moment, we understood. We were not just travelers on this cosmic journey—we are the journey itself. Every culture, every story, every breath was a note in the same endless symphony, a ripple in the same infinite universal flow of time.
The river does not ask us to lose who we are. It asks us to remember that who we are is part of something much larger. We are not alone, nor have we ever been. The Great River runs through us all, and in its currents, we are one. 🌊✨
