What a night! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the very first premiere of The Good People Project. Telling Jill’s story through the Brandon Valley Journal—and the story of local journalism as a whole- reminded us how much it matters to pay attention to the people and stories right in front of us. This project exists to make sure those stories are seen and remembered. This is only the beginning.

We were flabbergasted today, to borrow a word from my Mom, with Angela George’s story on Degaje in Argus911

She has such a way with words that it was a great pleasure to see how she crafted her article. We were on the edge of our seats, and it’s our own story! She’s every bit the Wordsmitty my Mom is.
Maybe they can meet at the premiere tomorrow night at the Brandon Valley High School PAC?

We were featured by Beth Warden with Dakota News Now for our upcoming short film at the Brandon Valley High School PAC on Wednesday @ 6:30pm. Abigail, our head of design & sound, wanted her interview to be with her standing "in front of her Dad's beautiful photography". I don't think she can ever understand how proud that makes her Dad. :)

Mr. Aguirre's crew at Brandon Valley High School officially wrapped the 605 Roots Bunkhouse project today! They put away the tools, cleaned up the equipment, swept out the cabin, rolled up the power cords, and locked up as a team. It was a job well done, and they can be proud.
I built a corner cabinet for my Mom, and that was the extent of carpentry offered at my high school.
How many people can say they built a CABIN for their class project?

She's the taskmaster of our little team because she's the most organized of the bunch. This morning, she tasked me with putting together some slides with great quotes from our upcoming film (Wednesday, 6:30pm @ Brandon PAC).

There ARE some profound quotes from amazing people in our film, but I thought we'd start with this one, something she said at this morning's team meeting, married with a sneaky shot of I snapped of her during last weekends session.
