Hollywood, CA — Faces of Rap Mothers, a California-based multimedia corporation celebrating the voices and legacies of rap mothers and their families, is now accepting submissions for its next wave of publications. This open call invites contributors to participate in four dynamic series expansions

About Each Series
Faces - of Rap Mothers Volumes 5–10
The flagship series that launched a movement. These volumes spotlight the personal journeys, creative triumphs, and cultural impact of rap mothers across the globe. Contributors share memoirs, reflections, poetry, and visual art that honor their role in hip-hop and beyond.

Faces of Rap Mothers Fathers’ Editions Volumes 2–10
A powerful companion series amplifying the voices of fathers in the rap community. These volumes explore fatherhood, legacy, and leadership through the lens of hip-hop culture, offering insight into the men who support, inspire, and create alongside rap mothers.

Faces of Rap Mothers Presents… Volumes 3–10
A showcase series for affiliated artists, entrepreneurs, and creatives. These volumes feature contributors from music, fashion, activism, and entertainment who align with the mission of Faces of Rap Mothers and bring fresh perspectives to the movement.

Rap Mothers Save the Day Books 4–10
A youth-friendly, illustrated series where rap mothers transform into superheroes. These books blend empowerment, imagination, and community values—perfect for families, schools, and cultural programming.

Contributor Terms & Submission Guidelines
Each volume will feature twelve contributors, selected on a first-come, first-served basis. All contributors will:
Be introduced to Faces of Rap Mothers Creator Candy Strother DeVore-Mitchell
Automatically become official members of the Faces of Rap Mothers enterprise
Receive contributor credit in print and digital editions
Be eligible for media features, event participation, and brand collaborations

Submission Requirements:
Signed Contributor Release Form
Non-Disclosure Agreement (INDA) for all pre-release materials
Stock Contributor Image (high-resolution, editorial or professional)
Content Scope: Personal narrative, creative nonfiction, poetry, commentary, or visual art relevant to the series theme
Word Count: 500 to 1,500 words per submission
Image Totals: Up to 3 high-resolution images per contributor (optional but encouraged)

DonnaInk Publications proudly celebrated two powerhouse authors—Theresa Zaino, author of Born To Compete: A Man Without A War, and Candy Strother DeVore-Mitchell, creator of the Faces of Rap Mothers® series—during our Golden State Signing Series in Los Angeles County!

While the Lancaster Library event was canceled and Candy was overbooked, Theresa and Danny Zaino lit up the A. C. Bilbrew Library with their media legacy and star power—drawing enthusiastic support from fans and community members alike.

The Zainos continued their Hollywood momentum at the Silicon Beach Film Festival, Hard Core Cooking Show, and its Opening Party, joined by a constellation of talent including Myke Michaels, Tony Kahana, Dawna Lee Heising, Honey Devore, Joycelyne Lew, Kim Marra, and Michael Whitehorse Aviles.
