Another Shadow Rock Park Update – August 10, 2025, Forsyth, MO 🌊🏞️

I know I have posted alot of photos of the water level here. I am waiting on my good drone to be returned. But the water has dropped so dramatically, revealing much of the park again and I wanted to show you all. The courts, ball fields, rodeo arena, and picnic areas on the north side are nearly dry, with roads and parking lots reemerging. But on the south side of Highway 165, the campground remains mostly underwater, shelters still sitting in the flood’s grasp. Recovery is in sight, but there’s still a way to go before everything is back to normal. Thanks for looking. Follow me to see more from the Ozarks and Beyond.

🏞️ Shadow Rock Park – Forsyth, Missouri

From above, you can still see the aftermath of the summer flooding — ballfields, pavilions, and picnic spots still partly underwater. These drone shots capture the quiet beauty of the high water as it recedes. The good news? The lake has dropped, and Shadow Rock Park is on its way back to normal. Soon, this place will be buzzing again with games, cookouts, and riverfront views instead of floodwater. 🌊☀️

While I’m waiting on my good drone to get replaced, I thought I’d share some of my favorite sunrise and sunset shots from last year. These were taken over Lake Taneycomo in Forsyth and Table Rock Lake in Branson. Still some of the most peaceful skies I’ve captured. Follow me to see more from the Ozarks and Beyond. 🌅✨

Lake Taneycomo at Forsyth, Missouri August 2, 2025🎣🛶

Even with my best drone in the shop (hoping to have it back soon 🤞), I had to get out and capture these shots of Lake Taneycomo. The first shot is above the dam at Empire Park in Forsyth and it show a lone pontoon boat in the middle, soaking in the stillness of the evening. The next shot is again at Empire Park, a couple anglers posted up in a perfect pocket, reflections crisp and calm. The final shot is below the dam, you have to look close to see the boat with its anglers, but it is there.

The water’s finally starting to go down. And just FYI, these were taken with my old backup drone, so not as sharp as usual, but I couldn't wait any longer to share something from this stretch of river. More coming soon once I'm back at full flight 🚁

Update on Water Levels at Shadow Rock Park, Forsyth, MO

The water is finally starting to drop—but as you can see, there’s still a long way to go.
In these latest drone shots, parts of Shadow Rock Park are slowly reemerging after being completely underwater. You can now spot the tops of the tennis court fences, basketball goals, and even the rodeo corral starting to peek out. The bleachers are above water again, and some picnic shelters are just slowly reclaiming their space.
Be nice to see the park come back to life again.

Another ducking! Thank you. Your Jeep is awesome.
