Everyone across the Ozarks and Southeast Kansas should prepare for a big shift in weather tomorrow (Sunday). The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a Wind Advisory, effective from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST Sunday, as a potent cold front sweeps through the region.

Sustained west winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected throughout the day, with powerful gusts reaching between 40 and 45 mph. These winds could blow around unsecured outdoor objects, snap tree limbs, and make travel difficult for high-profile vehicles.

Good morning! It's another pleasant morning across our area with temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. We're looking at skies becoming partly cloudy today with highs in the mid 70s. Not quite as windy at 5 to 15 Mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies expected with overnight lows in the upper 40s to low 50s. There may be some developing fog in parts of the area.

Looking at our Weekend:
Saturday: Our last warm day for a while with partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy to overcast skies expected. Although our temperatures will be rather mild for part of the day, a cold front moves over the area bringing gusty winds and the potential for showers & thunderstorms. There's a very slight risk for strong to severe storms. Temperatures will tumble into the 40s behind the cold front as well. Our overnight temperatures will drop into the upper teens to low 20s. By Monday morning, wind chills will make it feel more like the single digits.
Chilly daytime highs are expected through next week.

Hopefully everyone had a great Christmas today. Temperatures were quite warm today with several areas breaking record highs. Our weather station recorded a high of 81° this afternoon under mostly sunny skies.
Currently in Branson it's 58° under partly cloudy skies.

Overnight: Partly cloudy skies continue with lows rather steady in the upper 50s to around 60°

Quick Glance at Tomorrow:
Our day after Christmas looks to be another warm day with highs in the mid 70s under partly cloudy skies. Winds from the SW at 10 to 15 Mph.

Taking another look at our Weekend.
Saturday: Partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 70s.

Sunday: Our day starts out rather comfy, but a cold front moves over dropping temperatures from the upper 60s to low 40s during the afternoon. We'll also have a shot for some showers and thunderstorms along the cold front as it moves over. Winds will become very breezy at 15 to 20 Mph and gusts around 25+
Lows Sunday night will plumet into the upper teens to low 20s.

Good morning and Merry Christmas! It's a beautiful start to our Christmas morning with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 50s. Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected today with highs in the mid to upper 70s. SW winds 10 to 15 Mph 💨

Tonight: 🌙 Skies becoming partly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s.

Friday is looking good with partly cloudy skies🌤 and highs in the mid 70s.

Saturday: 🌤 Partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday: 🌦 Mostly cloudy skies with chances for showers along an expected cold front. Highs should top out in the mid 60s but will fall quickly behind the cold front into the 40s.

We had a very warm Christmas Eve across the area. Here in Branson, our weather station recorded a high of 76° this afternoon. Winds were breezy at times and mostly cloudy skies ruled the better part of the day. A few areas around the Ozarks set record highs this afternoon.
Currently in Branson, it's 62°
Under partly cloudy skies.

For our overnight hours, skies look to remain partly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s to around 60°

Christmas Day 🎄 🎅
Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected with highs once again in the mid to upper 70s. Winds will be a bit breezy as well from the SW at 10 to 15 Mph.

Still looking warm for Friday and Saturday with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
On Sunday, a big dip on temperatures behind a cold front. Temperatures will start out fairly pleasant, but will drop into the 40s by late in the day and there will also be a shot at some showers moving over.

Much colder weather returns to the area next week! Enjoy the warmth now!
