Because executives reporting to The Dailies haven't seen what's happening in the midwest. Ready to rise up together?
I'm subscribed to The Dailies and was intrigued by todays email.
There's a feeling in town this week that the ground just moved.
Two horror movies made by YouTube directors for almost no money took the top two spots and shoved a $165M 'Star Wars' tentpole into third.
The takeaways, for a lot of folks: original ideas beat legacy IP, directors are the new movie stars, and the franchise era is finally ending.
I wrestle with this as I have just completed the last step in building a franchise story. Maybe it's only ending for a moment because they haven't seen this one yet.
