Losing your mind doesn't have to be as scary as you think. Especially when your loved ones are equipped with understanding.
Dementia may take away memory, but it does not take away the need for love, dignity, and connection. Small gestures, such as holding hands, gentle humor, and familiar music, can create deep, meaningful moments even in confusion.
For our 2 unlikely friends, Dorothy, a retired librarian and Josie, a retired nurse, in our story "SILVER" , it takes humor up a notch because they're in charge of their future. ( as you can see from the teaser here. https://youtu.be/F0kdo9FtzjY?si=FYLcYU71CRlzdv8v )
We don't forget how it affects the family though.
Reducing frustration and creating moments of connection is one of our biggest goals with this story.
How did/do you connect with your loved one?
