Because executives reporting to The Dailies haven't seen what's happening in the midwest. Ready to rise up together?

I'm subscribed to The Dailies and was intrigued by todays email.

There's a feeling in town this week that the ground just moved.

Two horror movies made by YouTube directors for almost no money took the top two spots and shoved a $165M 'Star Wars' tentpole into third.

The takeaways, for a lot of folks: original ideas beat legacy IP, directors are the new movie stars, and the franchise era is finally ending.

I wrestle with this as I have just completed the last step in building a franchise story. Maybe it's only ending for a moment because they haven't seen this one yet.

Our first veteran story was a short story called Taneycomo. We're working on the development of another one that we can't talk too much about yet but we can tell you this....

One of the characters is an Afghanistan war veteran. Her name is Penelope. Her mother died during birth and she never knew who her father was. She was raised in the foster care system while dealing with RAD. Therefore she was passed from house to house because people didn't know how to cope with her behavior issues.

She graduated high school and joined the military because her school counselor thought that would be the one occupation she would thrive in.

Penelope fell in love with the Army because she felt like part of a real family. Even found a "big brother " named Scott that she did everything with. That is until he died in her arms during the war.

She left the service but the abandonment issues she lives with follows her everywhere. Now in Celina Texas, it's time for her to face them, and overcome the issues once and for all.

The unexpected hero in her story is a horse named Selah.

Today, we remember our soldiers who lost friends on the battlefields. Those walking along side of us in our communities that today isn't about Lake Life and BBQs. It's about the missing person that once sat at their table.

We see you.

This screen grab of Penelope, being played by Victoria Hagni in " Spirit Song" is for you. May your grief feel the embrace of our entire team working on the project. We got your six!

We crossed over and are walking out our first franchise project. which do you prefer? Book or television series?

We need a little help with this one. If you would like to give 2 hours a week for 4 weeks, to help us finish up a few things on this one, I know Jim Clark would be very thankful.

We picked this story because we love and care about families living with dementia and Alzheimer's.

So does the writer of the story Charlotte. As a home healthcare person, Charlotte spent 15 plus years keeping her clients at home while they lived with the disease.

Her heartwarming story, "Silver" is just what the doctor ordered for this generation. We're honored to help her bring it to life to inspire others.

Thank you From the Heart Productions Inc and Good Works for standing with her on this project!
