Fuel line, some brake lines, and a few other things done. Oh yeah, and the motor, transmission, and transfer case were put into the K2500 frame. Any day in the shop is a great day, and this was for sure one of them.

Hopefully, the last time we have to see the rusted 1999 GMC 1 Ton OBS/GMT400 Frame. I did more than bust some bolts and nuts loose on this one. Remember, if you are applying torque to something that could slip, plant your feet properly (03:02 time mark). Don't worry, no cameras were harmed in the filming of this video. 🤙

The teardown continues on the 1999 GMC K3500 GMT400.

Drivetrain is out. Steering components are coming off. The rust story keeps unfolding.

But the real question starts at the end of this video… 5.7L or 7.4L? And what kind of truck should this become?

Regular cab long bed? Crew cab long bed? How much change is too much?

I’ve got some measuring to do.
