Ever wonder why your trimmer line snaps so easy or eats itself up at the eyelet? Here’s a quick pro-tip straight from the chemistry side of things! 💡

Most trimmer line is made of nylon—a hygroscopic polymer that naturally absorbs water. Over time, heat and dry air suck that moisture right out, leaving the line brittle and prone to constantly breaking.

Soaking your spool in a bucket of water rehydrates the nylon, acting as a natural plasticizer that gives the line its flex and impact resistance back.

Drop your spool in water for 24–48 hours before spooling up, or just leave it soaking in a bucket in the shop! 🛠️🌾
