A longtime Brenham radio personality Randy Reets has passed away. At the age of 88.
Reets was hospitalized last week after suffering what his family revealed as catastrophic stroke.
Reets was born in Wharton, and his family later settled in Sealy, where he graduated high school.
He later went to college at the University of Houston to study for a career in broadcasting.
Randy’s broadcasting career spanned over 60 years. Randy handled all the sports at Lite Fm he was the voice of sports and sold advertising for many years.
During his career, he called games for nearly every high school in washington and the surrounding counties.
He is survived by his two daughters Deidra and Amy, his two sons Kellen and Chris, his grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation is at Brenham Memorial Chapel Friday from 8am-8pm family is present 5pm-8pm and Rosary @7. Funeral is at ST. Mary’s Catholic Church Saturday at 10am. Randy will be dearly missed.
