LaRon grew up surrounded by poverty, addiction, violence, and neglect before entering the foster care system, where he endured severe abuse from a foster mother. He was starved, tortured, threatened with weapons, and made to eat from dog bowls, eventually reaching a point where he no longer wanted to live. Music became a lifeline for LaRon and eventually led him to pursue a career of his own as he carried the weight of what he survived into adulthood. After experiencing divorce, the unexpected death of his adoptive mother, and another period of su*c*dal thoughts, LaRon began confronting his trauma and breaking the generational patterns he never wanted to pass on to his children.
