When unexpected changes happen, you can either focus on the problem or you can focus on the solution. Pour your energy into solving problems and you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish!

This week I was hired on short notice as an A2 (audio assistant) for a holiday tree lighting. Easy job. When I arrived I was told I was actually needed as an L1 (lighting lead) using a system I don’t know at all.

I am not a lighting expert, but I was there and they needed me to do the job, so I kept a cool head, used the little knowledge I had to figure the system out, and got the lighting programs working. In the end, the show went great and the people who hired me were happy!

Minor setbacks can either ruin your day or be an opportunity for growth. I choose growth every time.

This is my first flyer campaign - definitely feeling some trepidation putting these out there. People tell me all the time that they don’t even know this studio exists, so it’s on me to change that. Running paid ads too - I guess we’ll just have to see how it all works out!

Proud of the Heritage AV Club and all the volunteers who helped produce today’s live stream of the downtown Holiday Parade in Brentwood. We hit a few snags, as always happens with a new process and a team who has never worked together before, but overall it was a great success!
