A few months ago we got the call to capture some music for the new HBO Max series “IT: Welcome to Derry!” The episode aired this evening 11/16 (episode 4).

During the session we captured music from The Burnurwurbskek Singers including:
Ronnie Bear – Vocals, Drums
Nick Bear – Vocals, Drums
Cree Neptune-Bear – Vocals, Drums
Nyle Sockbeson – Vocals, Drums
Additional work from

Main Street Music Studios is proud to have engineered this portion of the project and recorded the authentic sound of the musicians and songs. Their drumming, singing, flute playing and overall passion was more than music, it’s culture.

In addition, just a few weeks ago we also captured a behind-the-scenes interview for HBO’s “IT: Welcome to Derry” podcast, episode 4 with John Bear Mitchell. His role in the series was to represent Native Americans and make sure everything in the series was accurate. John, an actor as well, was amazing in this interview and has done a wonderful job on this series. During this interview we also had in session remotely:

One of our clients who records all of her material here just landed her song on a film! The movie is on Amazon prime entitled “Rekindled for Christmas”. We recorded the song “Snowy Day”. Huge congratulations to Kiki Cubb on all of her success and looking forward to her next major placement!

Here’s a link to an interview we recently recorded for BBC. Richard Morse speaks about his mother, a famous singer. Fascinating stuff and definitely worth the listen. We used a Neumann TLM 103—>Manley core for the Vocal chain.

Had the pleasure recording an interview with Richard Morse this morning that will be aired on BBC network in the near future. Richard’s mother was the first Haitian artist to be signed to a major label and become an international star paving their sound and culture. Her song was also sang by Harry Belafonte in an English version. Richard’s band R.A.M is also a major force in the music industry. His interview was fascinating! Will post the link once live courtesy of the British Broadcasting Corporation.
