There are four dogs on the Last Chance (Euthanasia) List at Orange County Animal Services, Orlando, Florida. Paw McCartney and Regina are available for adoption or rescue placement. Coco and Polo are rescue only. They must be adopted by 5:30 PM Tuesday, July 15th or have a rescue hold by 6:00 AM Wednesday, July 16th or they will be euthanized. OCAS is offering a $200 incentive for each dog to rescue partners.
⭐️ Coco came into the shetler as a stray on 6/29, the owner was found and opted to surrender him because they could not properly confine him and had complaints from neighbors. Allegedy in his past, Coco was involved in incidents where the neighbors' pet ducks, cat, and small dog were injured.
While in the care of the shelter, Coco has been easily handled by staff. During both assessments, Coco was eaily leashed and walked well. He allows full handling, is social seeking, and attentive. He is treat motivated and willing to work for food. Additionally, when testing him with other dogs (females), he has displayed neutral body language and no outward reactivity.
Coco is 2 years old, weighs 66 pounds, is intact and tested negative for heartworm disease. Coco is available for rescue placement only.

⭐️ Paw McCartney came into the shelter as a stray on 6/4. He came in suffering from hair loss and itchy skin.
Paw is noted to be friendly, allows leashing easily, although he can pull pretty hard. He is affectionate and social seeking with handlers.
Paw has had conflicting interactions with other dogs, avoidant and neutral in some situations, reactive and unable to pair in others. Paw has started to show a behavioral decline while at the shelter; he has started to display resource guarding tendencites with toys and increased reactivity towards other dogs.
Paw McCartney is 4 years old, weighs 70 pounds, is intact and tested negative for heartworm disease. Paw is available for adoption or rescue placement.

⭐️ Polo originally came to the shelter on 6/12 ad a stray he was adopted and returned two days later for biting the adopter when they tried to take a toy away from Polo.
At the shelter Polo has displayed resource guarding with food and toys. He does seek seek affection and can be handled in the yard, but does not like restraint or being returned to his kennel. Polo has been paired with other dogs.
Polo is 3 years old, weighs 19 pounds, tested negative for heartworm disease, and is neutered. Polo is rescue only.

⭐️ Regina came to shelter about a month ago as a stray. Regina has shown high levels of stress at the shelter. She’s turns and paces in her kennel to the point where are nails are ground down and bleeding. She is easy to get in and out of her kennel and allows handing. She knows a few tricks and comes when called. Regina was initially paired with another dog, but recently has not been able to be paired. When she sees another dog, she begins a high-pitched vocalization and fixates on the other dog.
Regina is 3 years old, weighs 43 pounds, tested negative for heartworm disease, and is not yet spayed. Regina is available for both adoption and rescue placement.
