RIP Michael Madsen, born September 25, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, died July 3, 2025, at the age of 67 following cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu, California. A prolific character actor known for his rugged screen presence, Madsen rose to prominence with his role as Mr. Blonde in Quentin Tarantino’s RESERVOIR DOGS and went on to appear in other Tarantino films including KILL BILL: VOL. 1 & 2, THE HATEFUL EIGHT, and ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD. His extensive filmography also includes THELMA & LOUISE, DONNIE BRASCO, DIE ANOTHER DAY, FREE W***Y, THE NATURAL, THE DOORS, and SIN CITY. Madsen began his career at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company and amassed over 300 screen credits across film and television. He is survived by his wife DeAnna, six children, and his sister, actress Virginia Madsen.
