Lustrous black/green “horneblende.” Comes with older labels including handwritten one.

A crystal cleavage of lustrous black-green magnesio-hastingsite rarely availibity from this locality.

According to the seller this piece was recently analysed by Joy Desor and confirmed as magnesio-hastingsite.

Collected during the third German Antarctica expedition GANOVEX III 1982/83.

Ex collection Dipl.Min. Ulrich Vetter, Hannover - mineralogist of this expedition.

Type locality is the Canadian National Railway tunnel, Mont Royal, Montréal, Québec, Canada.
