Join the RMFU team! We are hiring a Membership and AgWell Coordinator.

This individual is responsible for recruiting, retaining, and mobilizing RMFU members via local chapters in New Mexico and select areas of eastern and southern Colorado. Will serve as program lead for RMFU’s AgWell project focused on farmer mental health, well-being, and stress management. Responsible for AgWell’s programming, outreach, funding, grant management, and collaboration with like-minded organizations.

Be on the alert for radio ads in Wyoming from Rocky Mountain Farmers Union President Chad Franke discussing the need for responsible energy development. Last year, an aerial survey found that oil and gas methane emissions in the Greater Green River Basin in Wyoming were the third highest in the country. When oil and gas operations emit methane, it means wasted energy and less investment in our rural communities.

While energy production is an important economic driver for agricultural producers and rural communities, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union members support responsible energy development. Specifically, “[w]e support strong rules that eliminate energy waste and greenhouse gas emissions caused by routine venting and flaring.” Due to this, we are calling on the state of Wyoming to control methane waste and pollution, which will ultimately benefit our communities, create jobs, and make our working lands more resilient.

Put people first. If Ballot Initiative 309, the Slaughterhouse Ban, passes in Denver, countless farmers, ranchers, and others in the food system will face devastating impacts. The ban would also cause 160 employee-owners to lose their careers and business. We stand with our people in Colorado and beyond and urge Denver voters to vote no on 309.

Each year Animal Health International, a Patterson Company, hosts a golf tournament with the Colorado FFA Foundation being the beneficiary of the event. This year the Colorado FFA Foundation was presented a check for over $20,000!
