Just got off the phone a fan Mike Kelsey's hiking guides. He ordered 4 more. They ship to British Columbia and I asked him how often he comes down to hike in Southern Utah. He stated that he has made the 22 hour trip 31 times! Now that is a Southern Utah hiking fan! Keep hiking Ron!

Was honing my education with nymph fishing reading Flyfishing a Lifetime Sport by David Young. Took some of that learning to the Blacksmith Fork over memorial weekend and hooked into some Brown's in the early morning. Bead head wooly bu**er.

Had the opportunity to head up to the Blacksmith Fork this weekend to try and get in on the Salmon fly action that has been happening this last week. It appeared to be too cold to launch a hatch on Saturday night, but had some nice action with an elk hair caddis on the resevoir. Had the chance to practice my double haul. My timing must have been off a little as indicated by an occasional tailing loop. I need to consult with my copy of 30 days to better flycasting by Berris "Bear" Samples and see if I can work it out.
